At a time when agriculture is facing increasingly complex challenges, dialogue, cooperation, and the joint construction of knowledge are more relevant than ever.

This institutional video showcases the work of DAUA as a platform for cooperation between Uruguay and Germany, with regional and suprarregional reach, and our contribution to the development of more sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural systems.

From January 14 to 17, the 18th Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) 2026 was held in Berlin under the theme of “Water. Harvests. Our Future”, consolidating its role as one of the leading international platforms for exchange of knowledge and ideas on agri-food systems. The event is organized by the German Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH).

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, we participated in a meeting of projects, belonging to the Bilateral Cooperation Program (BKP) of the German Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH), held at the offices of GFA Consulting Group GmbH in Berlin. The meeting served as a space for regional dialogue among the projects in Latin America.

During November and December 2025, we held two virtual events that strengthened technical exchange and cooperation between both countries. These meetings brought together specialists from the public, private, and academic sectors, with the goal of deepening innovative approaches and sharing useful learnings for the agricultural sectors of Uruguay and Germany.

From October 22 to 24, the 3rd Pan-American Bioinputs Forum was held in Rionegro, Colombia, organized by the Hemispheric Bioinputs Platform (PHB) of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). This event brought together more than 200 participants from 18 countries and 47 speakers - producers, researchers, companies, and authorities from across the Americas to strengthen the development, regulation, and sustainable use of bioinputs. It was a reaffirmation of the commitment of the Americas to more sustainable, competitive and science-based agriculture.

On October 16, we participated in the closing session of the training cycle on “Soil Carbon Simulation Models,” organized by the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP) at the headquarters of the Directorate-General of Natural Resources (DGRN-MGAP).

We are pleased to share the publication about the Micro2Health project, Component 1 of the Uruguayan-German Dialogue on Agriculture (DAUA), in INIA Journal No. 82 (September 2025), which highlights its contribution to healthier and more resilient agriculture.

On September 25 and 26, 2025, we welcomed in Montevideo a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity of Germany (BMLEH) and GFA Consulting Group GmbH, composed of Bernd Schwang (Head of Division for International Projects and Food Security, BMLEH), Corinna Trips (Head of Division for the Americas, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East, BMLEH), Dr. Andreas Gramzow (Program Director, GFA), and Martin Kuntze-Fechner (Project Manager, GFA), responsible for the DAUA project.

Over three days, we visited research centers and producers that integrate science and practice for sustainable agriculture. In each visit, we presented the Uruguayan‑German Dialogue on Agriculture (DAUA) as a link between Uruguay and Germany, strengthening cooperation in this exchange.
