On Saturday, September 13, the last day of the SoilCarbon4Climate conference, the delegation visited farms around Berlin associated with Germany’s Federal Humus Program, learning about soil management practices and sustainable production systems.

The Uruguayan delegation actively participated in the second day of the SoilCarbon4Climate conference, sharing national experiences and adding international learnings.

As part of our annual study trip (FIF) to Germany, a delegation including the team of the Uruguayan-German Dialogue on Agriculture (DAUA), representatives of the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP) and INIA Uruguay, together with project managers from IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH and GFA Consulting Group GmbH, participated in the SoilCarbon4Climate event and in meetings with authorities of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH) and the Embassy of Uruguay in Berlin.

The goal: to strengthen the exchange between Uruguay and Germany, focusing on soil health and carbon, as well as to explore opportunities for scientific, technological and institutional cooperation.

On September 9, at the Tropentag2025 Pre-Conference Workshop, we shared learnings on international cooperation in sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture.
The event, held at the University of Bonn and co-organized by the AgriDENZ project, the Uruguayan-German Dialogue on Agriculture (DAUA), and UKUDLA, brought together experiences from projects co-financed by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH) in South America, Oceania, and Africa. The diversity of geographical origins, institutions, and stages of study greatly enriched the exchange.

On September 3, we participated in the VII Agroecology Conference: "Agroecology in the Interior",
organized by the GASMA Group at UTEC - Universidad Tecnológica Durazno.
It was an inspiring event that brought together producers, students, and academia to strengthen agroecology in the country.

The Uruguayan-German Dialogue on Agriculture (DAUA) was once again present at the Aapresid Congress, strengthening cooperation and regional exchange on sustainable agriculture.

In this edition, we facilitated the participation of Fernando Gutierrez (Director of DIGEBIA – Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries, MGAP) as a speaker in the talk “The bio-inputs revolution: from opportunities for producers and companies to the challenges and strategies of the public sector.”

On August 1st, we took part in the first workshop of the training cycle on “Soil Carbon Simulation Models,” organized by the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries (MGAP).
During the session, we engaged in a valuable exchange with teams from MGAP and the National Institute for Agricultural Research of Uruguay (INIA), focusing on the AMG model, a tool used to estimate the sequestration and dynamics of organic carbon in agricultural soils.

On June 12 and 13, our Project Leader, Dagmar Wittine, represented the Uruguayan-German Dialogue on Agriculture (DAUA) in two days of exchange with representatives from AMBÁ, Montes del Plata, UTEC - Technological University, and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). The purpose was to explore practical experiences, learn about advances in applied research, and coordinate possible future joint actions in the field of bio-inputs.

The Uruguayan-German Dialogue on Agriculture (DAUA) participated in the CASAFE Congress “Biologicals: Innovation and Technology in Biological Solutions,” which brought together nearly 1,000 attendees in Rosario (Argentina) on June 12.
