Micro2Health in INIA Journal
We are pleased to share the publication about the Micro2Health project, Component 1 of the Uruguayan-German Dialogue on Agriculture (DAUA), in INIA Journal No. 82 (September 2025), which highlights its contribution to healthier and more resilient agriculture.
As part of the scientific collaboration between Uruguay and Germany promoted by DAUA, Micro2Health is led by INIA Uruguay and the Julius Kühn-Institute (JKI). The research explores the potential of the soil microbiome to strengthen crop health, reduce dependence on external inputs, and move toward more sustainable production systems.
The article also mentions the video about Micro2Health, produced within the DAUA framework, in which Carolina Leoni, Principal Researcher at INIA Uruguay, presents the project's objectives and first results.
Through this scientific cooperation between Uruguay and Germany, new solutions for more sustainable agriculture are being developed, and soil microorganisms, once invisible, are becoming key players in the future of agriculture
